Rail Connections:

Norfolk Southern at Painted Post, NY (PAIPO) – Connection with NS Southern Tier Route.

B&H has team tracks (public use sidetracks) at Bath, Cohocton, and Wayland. We also can suggest other multimodal and distribution facilities on our line. Give us a call!

• Main line between Painted Post and Cohocton – FRA Class 2 (25 MPH).
• Main line between Cohocton and Wayland – FRA Excepted Track (10 MPH)
• Hammondsport Industrial Track is out of service north of County Home.
• Maximum gross weight 286,000 on the main line and all industrial tracks.
• Note: From time to time, applicable operating instructions may differ from the foregoing information.

Safety Awards:

American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association "Jake Award with Distinction" for 2002, 2003, and 2006. The Jake Award was launched in 1994 by Copper Basin Railway president L.S. "Jake" Jacobsen to recognize short line and regional railroads that operate without any reportable injuries or fatalities. In recent years the award program has been administered by ASLRRA, which created the Jake Award with Distinction to recognize railroads that operate without any reportable injuries, fatalities, or train accidents.
